Two cuts, and
how they sit
Positioning is our job, so here’s the part most size charts leave out: when you’re seated, length matters more than width. Extra body length has nowhere to go but your lap. Start with the four steps below, then check your numbers against the charts.
If you’re sizing for a seated fit
Measure a shirt you already like seated — from the shoulder seam straight down to where you want the hem to land. Compare that to the Length column below.
If your usual size runs long at the lap, take the Boxy Cropped in the same size rather than sizing down — you keep the chest room and lose the bunching.
Wearing a chest harness or hip belt over the shirt? Both cuts are midweight and won’t add bulk under a strap, but the cropped body keeps fabric out from under a pelvic belt.
Dressing someone else? Prioritize easy over-the-head width at the neck and a shorter body. Both help.
